Due to a rapidly growing demand for our solutions, we are seeking to hire a Systems Engineer.

Description

Vordel's System Engineers are responsible for driving sales, in partnership with field sales, by serving as a technical resource throughout the sales cycle.

Requirements:
  • Partner with sales executives to determine the client's technical needs, how Vordel's product(s) might fill those needs, degree of customization required, and how to approach.
  • Present technical capabilities of Vordel products. Clearly articulates functionality and manages customer/prospect expectations of what the product can do.
  • Work directly with customer to fully understand the requirements and define and manage the technical evaluation or POC:
  • Define use cases
  • Evaluate feasibility
  • Define and manage process
  • Validate product functionality
  • Manage (directly or through a Partner) the technical evaluation or POC.
  • Install and configure Vordel product(s) in client environment.
  • Ensure that client requirements are met.
  • Gather intelligence, from a technical perspective, from prospects to share with sales partner.
  • Facilitate hand-off to service partner or Vordel Professional Services.
  • Assist Customer Support as needed by validating client issues on-site; typically where further sales opportunities exist.
  • Present thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing.
  • Assist in the timely production of quality proposals
Qualifications:
  • Experience of Enterprise Application Integration including Web Services and Services Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Solid Understanding of security concepts such as digital signatures & cryptography.
  • Working knowledge of: Application servers (J2EE and .NET), Access and Identity Management platforms, PKI, LDAP, MQueue.
  • Degree level education, and 3+ years related experience.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Based in London, but able to travel frequently in the EMEA region.
