Position: Support Engineer

Lean on me I won't fall over. Due to our growing customer base, Vordel is looking for a Support Engineer to join our Support Team and who both customers and partners can "lean" on. The job is to provide quality support for Vordel's products with a high degree of customer satisfaction, technical expertise and timeliness. The position has frequent contact with customers, partners, peers and managers.
Responsibilities:
- You will be expected to maintain our exacting standards of customer support
- You will be given direct engagement with customers and partners to resolve any technical issues they may be experiencing with our products and deployments
Required Skills:
- At least five years experience in direct technical customer support role in a software/networking/IT security company
- Recent Technical Support experience will be considered
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for problem resolution.
- Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent literacy and writing skills of the English language
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to generate strong and lasting relationships with our customers
- Excellent understanding of SOA, Security, Networks, Protocols and Internet Technologies
- Cross platform experience Linux, Solaris, Windows
