Lean on me I won't fall over. Vordel is looking for a Support Engineer who customer and partners can "lean" on. The job is to provide quality support for Vordel's products with a high degree of customer satisfaction, technical expertise and timeliness. The position has frequent contact with customers, partners, peers and managers. Due to our growing customer base, Vordel is seeking to fill a position of a Support Engineer to help maintain a high level of customer support. The position will involve working directly with customers to resolve technical issues they may be experiencing with our products and deployments. The candidate must be strongly customer focused, possess an excellent work ethic and have outstanding troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.

Required Skills:

  • At least five years experience in direct technical customer support role in a software/networking/security company.
  • Degree or certification in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent education. Recent Technical Support experience
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for problem resolution
  • Good literacy and report writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to generate strong and lasting relationships with our customers
  • Excellent understanding of Web APIs, SOA, Security, Networks, Protocols and Internet Technologies
  • Cross platform experience Linux, Solaris, Windows
