Mazda Australia, a subsidiary of Mazda Motor Corp., has deployed Vordel’s XML channel communications to secure and manage the exchange of business information across the Mazda dealer network.
Mazda Australia officials said they selected Vordel because it wanted to improve business processes at the regional dealerships and head office to more quickly and efficiently exchange up-to-date information about vehicle sales and reservations as well as model and pricing information.
“Following a comprehensive review of the market offerings, we selected Vordel's XML Gateway solution as providing the optimum levels of deployment flexibility combined with the most mature product set on the market to address our requirements,” said Tim Ballingall, National Information Systems Manager, Mazda Australia, in a statement.
Additionally, Vordel said Mazda planned to aggregate data from multiple systems within the company to provide one interface to detailed information on the latest vehicle warranty, service and customer information.
“Throughout the pre- and post-sales implementation process, the experienced Vordel team has proved to be very attentive and appreciative of our requirements, making the entire SOA experience relatively pain free,” Mazda’s Ballingall added.
Vordel products have become an integral part of the Mazda Australia B2B architectures. “Vordel has stepped up to the mark by addressing Mazda’s needs for a security framework to facilitate a single integrated sales channel management system,” said Hugh Carroll, Vordel’s vice president of marketing, adding that other benefits include improved speed, efficiency, auditability and transparency of processes.
