Vordel explores financials system’s Web Services weaknesses at RSA Security Conference
Vordel presents case notes of a vulnerability assessment on a bank’s Web Services’ infrastructure
San Francisco, April 7, 2008- Vordel CTO Mark O’Neill is speaking at the RSA Security Conference in San Francisco this week. His presentation will provide interesting insights to the challenges and opportunities presented by Web Services within the financial services sector.
Specifically, his presentation will examine what happened when a bank allowed security experts to try to breach the protection of its Web Services. This session will demonstrate how a vulnerability assessment of a bank's Web Services was undertaken. Established attack vectors will be applied to the Web Services paradigm. The battery of tests is described and examples of the discovered vulnerabilities are analyzed.
