Vordel leads industry vision on Cloud and Web Services security at RSA and Open Group events
Vordel and Oracle co-present on Web Services security at RSA conference
San Francisco, April 20, 2009Vordel CTO, Mark O'Neill and Vikas Jain, Principal Product Manager with Oracle co-present this week at the RSA Security Conference on the theme of Web Services Security. Vordel are also featured at the Open Group Identity Management and Security a week later in London, UK.
The joint Vordel-Oracle presentation at RSA will put Web Services security into context by describing five case studies from several industry sectors including Federal and Insurance. The session will reveal lessons learned, describe solution architectures diagrams, and provide best-practice approaches to be adopted across different industries.

The following week at the Open Group Identity Management and Security conference in London, Mark O'Neill explains how Web 2.0 introduces security concerns, including privacy, cross domain scripting, and code injection. Cloud computing is increasingly being used, often in conjunction with Web 2.0 applications. He examines how Cloud Computing usage can be managed, by enforcing rules for private data, service level agreements, and usage metering.
