Vordel Appoints Accomplished Marketing Veteran as Global Expansion continues
Former Qualys and Thor Technologies Executive joins management team

Boston, MA – May 24, 2011- Vordel, a provider of gateways for SOA and the Cloud Computing, today announced the appointment of Ed King who joins the company as VP of Product Marketing. Based in California, he will be responsible for the company’s product marketing strategy and forging strategic alliances with key industry partners. King’s experience includes global product marketing and management positions at Agiliance, Thor Technologies, Jamcracker and Softchain and others spanning the past 20 years.

Ed joins Vordel from Qualys, where he was VP of Product Management directing the company’s transition to its next generation product platform. Previously he was the VP of Marketing at Agiliance responsible for the company’s product strategy and marketing programs. Through the acquisition of Thor Technologies, Ed joined Oracle as Senior Director of Product Management, responsible for Oracle’s identity management business. Throughout his career King has exhibited a strong track record of advancing both product strategy and partner alliance programs to help companies drive revenue and move into market leadership positions.
