Web services security company Vordel has updated SOAPbox, its security testing tool for Web services.

SOAPbox provides a graphical environment designed to simplify the creation of XML security test cases. New features in Vordel SOAPbox 3.1 include sample SOAP messages that are preconfigured to connect to public Web services, XML encryption and decryption capabilities, and the ability to test SOAP attachments across both Java and .Net Web services.

SOAPbox is available for Windows, Linux, and Solaris.
