Vordel and DMR Consulting form global alliance to resell secure eBusiness solution, TalkXML
New York, and Dublin, Ireland - 12 December 2000
- Vordel and DMR Consulting today announced a strategic partnership to provide global organisations with effective IEI
(Inter-Enterprise Integration) solutions using the Vordel TalkXML product suite. The TalkXML product suite enables enterprises
to establish secure Internet communication channels to any organisation in a business network.
The terms of this strategic alliance between the companies allow DMR Consulting to incorporate Vordel's XML-based solution for
secure eBusiness communication into scalable solutions that offer cohesive and secure environments to its customer base
world-wide. This alliance will help companies achieve long-term competitive advantages, by reducing time-to-market for products
and services, lowering the cost of operations, and simplifying business interaction with partners, suppliers and end-customers
within their specific business or enterprise network.
"We are pleased to announce this agreement with DMR Consulting," said David Ryan, CEO of Vordel. "The most significant issue for
companies striving to build an eBusiness capability is that of legacy and the integration of disparate systems. Vordel's
products and solutions are designed to assist companies in extracting additional value from their IT infrastructure and to
easily extend their business over internal and external B2B networks. DMR Consulting has a strong understanding of this process
and the issues associated with "real world integration" and will work together with Vordel to leverage TalkXML worldwide."
"As our clients move their business processes to the Web to take advantage of online commerce, we are seeing a surge in demand
for more complex projects that require end-to-end integration skills that very few companies have experience delivering," said
Michael Poehner, CEO of DMR Consulting.
"Companies throughout the world are realising the benefits of building robust electronic services to both their internal and
external business customers" said Frank Kennedy, General Manager of DMR Consulting, Ireland. "Often, the benefits of providing
secure delivery channels within the enterprise can be overshadowed by the associated cost and impact of invasive integration.
By combining DMR Consulting's in-depth business and technical experience with Vordel's unique TalkXML solution, we will be able
to offer the cohesive technology to enable clients' systems inter-operate effectively over B2B and E2E networks and maximise the
benefits of secure electronic business."
The opportunities arising from this strategic alliance are broad ranging and will have an impact in a wide range of industries,
including banking, insurance, telecommunications, pharmaceutical and IT sectors.
