Vordel to provide security for software giant's Web Services solutions in Iberia

17 September, 2002 - Dublin, Ireland and Madrid, Spain - Vordel, the Web Services security company, and Software AG, a leading worldwide supplier of system software for data management and e-business, has announced a partnership to provide secure Web Services solutions for Software AG's customers in Spain and Portugal. Software AG will resell VordelSecure for an initial two-year period.

VordelSecure, Vordel's flagship product, will provide the necessary third level of defence for Web Services, correcting the security challenges that cannot be addressed by firewalls and SSL. The product will enhance existing security solutions by providing authentication, authorisation, content inspection and routing of incoming and outgoing Web Services communications, as well as keeping a secure log of all actions.

Working cross-industry, the solution will combine VordelSecure's leading security features with Software AG's Tamino XML Server, which according to International Data Corporation has 47.5% share of the XML database management systems market. The solution will also be combined with EntireX, the integration software.
