Insurance company Allianz Ireland deploys Vordel to secure the streamlining of online services to banks and insurance agents
Vordel rapidly becoming the Web Services security vendor of choice for insurance industry with signing of World's No. 2 insurer

Dublin, October 3, 2006- Vordel, the SOA security and management company, today announced that Allianz Ireland, a member of the world's second largest insurer, has successfully deployed Vordel's award winning XML gateway product, VordelSecure, to secure its online offerings in its sales distribution channels.

Allianz is using Web Services technologies to streamline the delivery of insurance policy products to third party banking and broker partners in its Irish-based distribution channels. The adoption of a services oriented architecture approach to delivering insurance products is enabling Allianz achieve greater efficiencies in time to market and streamlining back-office integration with sales intermediaries' administrative operations. The Vordel solution provides the critical SOA security and management framework to enable Allianz roll out these services in a secure and managed fashion.

Mark Cooke, Enterprise Architect at Allianz, with responsibility for the deployment of this SOA said: "When selecting the security framework we required a defence solution to meet our immediate requirements of enforcing perimeter security for the initial roll out of Web Services."
