RSA and Vordel

Vordel products work with RSA ClearTrust to provide both content filtering and identity-based management and security for XML and Web Services data entering and exiting the enterprise.

Interoperability between RSA ClearTrust and Vordel products bridges the different fields of identity management and XML Web Services security. The solution addresses the security requirements of enterprises seeking to protect business services exposed as Web Services to internal personnel and externally to trading partners, customers and suppliers.

Both VordelDirector, the XML security server, and VordelSecure, the XML gateway, can integrate directly with RSA ClearTrust and can conduct authentication checks on incoming and outgoing XML traffic, based on requirements of preconfigured security policies. The authentication checks are complemented by a sequence of authorization, content filtering, transformation and routing operations performed on the XML data by the solution.

Two deployment methods for Vordel products working with RSA ClearTrust

The interoperability between Vordel products and RSA ClearTrust facilitates the deployment and management of Web Services in complex enterprise environments, with a need for centralized security and management. VordelSecure may be deployed on a single server as an XML gateway, or alternatively VordelDirector may be used to create an embedded, agent-based deployment that enables enterprises to implement application-level security, and follow a more granular approach to policy enforcement.
