Security In Depth

Vordel B2B Gateway provides B2B servers with multiple layers of protection. Starting with transport level security, the Gateway provides SSL termination and port level protection. The Gateway is a policy enforcement point for authentication and authorization policies. Vordel provides out-of-the-box integrations with all the leading identity and access management platforms. The Gateway can mediate security tokens and other form of credentials to simplify authentication of partner, user, and machine. At the message level, the Gateway scans and prevents message level threats in real-time, preventing attacks such as denial of service and executable attachments. Finally, the Gateway performs encryption, signing, and certificate validation to ensure data integrity and non-repudiation.

Traffic Management and Acceleration

Vordel B2B Gateway manages traffic going to B2B servers. This includes message routing base on document type, protocol, partner profile, and agreement. The Gateway can enrich message content with data fetched from repositories of partner profile and master data. The Gateway can throttle, block, and divert traffic to maintain service level, as well as to prevent a malfunctioning partner service from overloading the B2B server. The Gateway can also improve overall system performance by offloading CPU intensive tasks from the B2B server, such as XML parsing, schema validation, signing, and encryption.

Protocol Translation and Message Transformation

B2B communication protocols and message types are extremely diverse, with many industry specific standards. The Gateway supports popular standard protocols such as FTP, SFTP, ebXML, and EDIINT (AS2/AS3/AS4). The Gateway's flexible policy framework can integrate easily with third party protocol libraries.
